“I have owned dogs for 30+ years.. with our newest pup, I wanted to invest in quality “one on one” training from a young age. I did extensive research as what we were looking for was very specific (no group classes, wanted neighborhood and public places exposure/comfort, basic commands plus leash walking etc) and we wanted it during the day versus trying to fit it in after work. I found this page and contacted Lexi to discuss our needs. She was absolutely wonderful from the start - willing to meet my expectations and schedule requests without issue. We used Lexi for approximately 3 months after bringing Lucie home - she really thrived on the training and mental/physical stimulation from Lexi and she is a very bright and obedient dog now. Lexi taught her proper leash walking, many commands such as focus, sit, down, paw, other paw, wait, come, etc. She also worked on exposing her to outside life and overcoming normal puppy fears like loud trucks on the road or going somewhere unknown in the car. We purchasing training in blocks which made scheduling super easy - at the beginning and end of each 3 hour session Lexi would go over everything with me and run through what Lucie learned, but the bulk of her time here was spent one on one making Lucie into the best dog she could be. Lexi came to our house which was perfect as Lucie could learn in a setting she was comfortable and familiar with, and once she trusted Lexi they ventured out. I am probably biased, but Lucie is smart as a whip and able to pick up on additional commands/instruction so easily now and I credit that to having such a great training foundation. As someone who has had dogs my whole life and volunteers for a dog rescue organization in the south (www.pacne.org where Lucie came from) I cannot stress proper training and obedience with the right trainer enough. I highly recommend Lexi, and we look forward to using her again in the future for refresher courses as needed or if there is anything additional we want Lucie to learn. Lexi is a great communicator and kept in touch with me for any schedule changes as well as through each training session. She also updated a Google document for instructions on practicing commands in between trainings to ensure success. Absolutely cannot recommend enough, and Lucie absolutely loved her as well! 🙂”
